Wow, long time no blogpost. Seemed I was exploring other things than the writer in me…. Sorry ; )
But here’s a special story I would love to share with you. In fact this story started with my husband and my daughter. After they discovered the first album of Eefje de Visser ‘de Koek’ 7 years ago, her voice echoed through all speakers in our house and car. Completely in love with her dreamy, poetic musings we ended up hooked and visited her concerts with the complete family.
A few years ago on a lazy Saturday afternoon while listening to our weekly habit on the radio (Spijkers met Koppen), we heard she would perform live in the program within a couple of weeks. A family trip was planned where we ended up in a cosy cafe in Utrecht where they do the live broadcasting.
As I think sometimes you should exchange inspiration for inspiration I offered Eefje to come to Maastricht and choose a bag from the collection.
One day Eefje did come to the shop for a visit that organically grew into a cosy chattering afternoon with tea and strawberry pie. From exchanging tips for hairdo’s and make up to my daughter Teun performing her own written songs for her biggest inspirer. Meanwhile she picked Rock in Butterscotch Juniper to be her partner in crime. How curious I was to see both Eefje and her Rock after the concert of her solo tour at the Muziekgieterij in Maastricht.
After getting deluded by her soft voice and melodious music, we met for a chit chat and a great picture taken by Rob. As you can see Eefje and her bag are doing just fine!!
Thank you Eefje for sharing good vibes…
Please catch a glimpse to see what Eefje is up to… Maybe she will come somewhere around your place soon.
